1. Cheeky's - St. Petersburg
Location: 2823 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Opening: Mid-2024
 
Local restaurateur Nate Siegel, co-founder of Willa’s in North Hyde Park, is bringing a new raw bar and seafood grill to the Grand Central District of St. Petersburg. Cheeky's promises to serve fresh seafood, including East Coast oysters, shrimp, fish, and daily specials sourced from local waters and the Gulf. Expect piping hot bowls of chowder, fried chicken, salads, and more.
 
 
 
 
2. New Seminole Heights Food Hall - Tampa
Location: 4205 N Florida Ave., Tampa
Opening: TBD
 
Hakki Akdeniz, owner of the NYC-based chain Champion Pizza, is set to open a brand new food hall in the Seminole Heights building. While recent permits suggest the name "Hikari," the final name is yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new addition to the neighborhood.
 
 
3. Slim Charmer - St. Petersburg
Location: 2706 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Opening: Late October
 
The team behind St. Pete’s Wild Child is introducing a new sister concept, Slim Charmer, right next door. This 800-square-foot space will focus on craft cocktails and small plates, offering an intimate dining experience in the heart of St. Pete.
 
 
 
4. Juno & The Peacock and Pluma Cocktail Lounge - St. Petersburg
Location: 400 Beach Dr. NE, St. Petersburg
Opening: August 23, 2024
 
Two new concepts are coming to downtown St. Pete: Juno & The Peacock, a full-service restaurant featuring new American coastal cuisine, and Pluma, a cocktail lounge focused on light bites and an extensive wine selection. Together, they will provide a chic dining and drinking experience for up to 268 guests with both indoor and outdoor seating.
 
 
5. Bonchon - Tampa
Location: 308 E Fletcher Ave., Tampa
Opening: Mid to late August
 
South Korean fried chicken chain Bonchon is finally making its way to Tampa, specifically in the USF area. Known for its crispy fried chicken, Bonchon is sure to be a hit among students and locals alike.
 
 
 
6. Sparrow Rooftop - St. Petersburg
Location: 1234 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Opening: October 2024
 
Located atop the new Moxy St. Pete hotel, Sparrow Rooftop will offer Asian-fusion cuisine and craft cocktails with stunning city views. This sleek 4,000-square-foot space is perfect for a stylish night out.
 
 
7. Green Lemon St. Pete
Location: 4400 4th St. N, St. Petersburg
Opening: Fall 2024
 
Tampa’s beloved modern Mexican eatery, Green Lemon, is expanding to St. Pete. The new location will feature 150 seats in a 2,580-square-foot space, bringing its famous tacos, margaritas, and vibrant atmosphere across the bay.
 
 
8. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse - Tampa
Location: 4342 W Boy Scout Rd., Tampa
Opening: September 9, 2024
 
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar is opening a new flagship restaurant next door to its original location. The spacious 13,000-square-foot venue will feature an extensive wine bar, live music, and enhanced noise-mitigating features.
 
 
 
9. Bar Mezzo - St. Petersburg
Location: 1049 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Opening: Late summer or early fall 2024
 
Intermezzo Coffee & Cocktails is expanding with a sister concept, Bar Mezzo. This upscale bar will focus on spirits, seasonal drinks, and house-made infusions in a mid-century Italian setting, providing a comfortable yet sophisticated atmosphere for patrons.
 
 
10. Maru and O-ku - Tampa
Location: 2909 W Bay to Bay Blvd, Tampa
Opening: Late 2024 and early 2025
 
Charleston’s Indigo Road Hospitality Group is bringing two new concepts to South Tampa: Maru, a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant on the rooftop, and O-ku, an upscale sushi spot on the ground floor. These new eateries will be part of the vibrant Bayshore Gardens complex.
 
 
11. Bosphorous - St. Petersburg
Location: 1246 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Opening: Phase 1 of the Edge Collective development
 
Bosphorous, a popular Turkish restaurant from Orlando, will soon open in St. Pete’s new mixed-use Edge Collective. This 5,000-square-foot space will bring authentic Turkish flavors to the heart of the city.
 
 
12. Stormrunners Tavern - Gulfport
Location: 3128 Beach Blvd. S, Gulfport
Opening: Fall 2024
 
Stormrunners Tavern will feature a casual bar and restaurant downstairs and an open-air bar upstairs, offering stunning views of Boca Ciega Bay. Plus, the venue will include an outdoor dog bar called Bark Gulfport, complete with a tiki-style roof and play area for pups.
 
 
13. No View Bar - St. Pete Beach
Location: 6708 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach
Opening: September 2024
 
This new Mexican-inspired bar and restaurant will open next to Grillin N Chillin, sharing the kitchen and space. The concept will focus on seafood and Mexican plates, making it a great addition to the beachside dining scene.
 
 
14. Cook Out - Temple Terrace & Tampa

North Carolina-based fast food chain Cook Out is bringing its famous "trays" of burgers, barbecue, and milkshakes to the Tampa Bay area, with two new locations opening soon in Temple Terrace and Carrollwood.
 
 
15. Highland House - Dunedin
Location: 1050 Palm Blvd., Dunedin
Opening: November 1, 2024
 
Highland House will be the resident restaurant at the newly renovated Dunedin Golf Club. Both members and non-members will enjoy this new dining spot, which is set to open just in time for the holiday season.
 
 
16. The Huntsman - St. Petersburg

Opening: Q3-Q4 2024
 
Taking over The Mill’s former space, The Huntsman will offer ethically-sourced wild game and “farm & stream-to-table” fare, with an eclectic menu that includes wood-fired bone marrow, boar and rabbit cacciatore, and seafood jambalaya.
 
 
 
17. Hales Blackbrick Hyde Park - Tampa

Modern Chinese restaurant Hales Blackbrick is expanding to Hyde Park, bringing its innovative menu of dumplings, fried rice, and General Tso-style alligator to a sleek new location with gold accents and contemporary decor.
 
 
18. The Saint 2.0 - St. Petersburg

Opening: Fall 2024
 
St. Pete’s beloved speakeasy, The Saint, is rebranding this fall. After four successful years, the bar will close temporarily for a transformation into a new immersive concept.
